A recent study has found that the songs we listen to during our teen years set our musical taste as adults.

For men, the most important period for forming musical taste is between the oges of 13 to 16. Men were, on over age, aged 14 when their favorite song was released.

For women, the most important period is between 11 and 14, with 13 being the most likely age for when their favorite song came out.

It also found that childhood influences were stronger for women than men and the key years for shaping taste were tied to the end of puberty.

최근 진행된 연구에 따르면, 우리가 10대 때 드는 음악이 성인이 된 후의 음악 취향을 형성한다고한다.

남성들의 경우, 13 ~ 14세가 음악 취향 형성에 가장 중요한 시기였고 평균적으로 14세 때 가장 좋아하는 노래가 나왔다고 한다.

여성의 경우 11 ~ 14세가 음악 취향 형성에 중요한 시기며, 가장 좋아하는 노래가 나온 것은 평균적으로 13세다.

또한, 남성보다 여성의 경우 음악 취향 형성이 유년기의 영향을 더욱 많이 받으며 음악 취향을 형성하는 데 중요한 시기는 사춘기 끝무렵과 관련이 있다.

① 권지연 학생

Most people in the world when they think of korea, the immediately also think of kimchi. When I first came to Korea, I was shocked to find out that Koreans ate kimchi even at breakfast. I couldn't believe that people would eat something so sour and spicy in the morning. Not only that, but I also found out there is speial appliance that you only find in Korea : a Kimchi refrigerator. Over time though, I have come to appreciate why Koreans love Kimchi so much. It can be eaten in so many different ways. For instance, my favorite way to eat Kimchi is to grill it at the end of a hot plate that you cook Samgyeopsal on. It teastes so great when it soaks up the fat off of the pork, and the Gochu-jang takes on a warm teste. Another way that I really enjoy eating kimchi is in Kimchi JJigae. I think if ever go back to the US, I will have to find and international market. Because now I can't live without Kimchi.

 

 

세계 사람들 대부분 한국을 생각할 때, 즉각적으로 김치를 떠올린다. 내가 처음에 한국에 왔을 때, 한국인들이 김치를 아침식사에도 먹는 것을 보고 충격 받았다. 시고 매운 것을 먹으며 아침을 시작하는 사람들이 있다는 걸 믿을 수 없었다. 그 뿐만 아니라 또 놀란 것은, 한국에서만 볼 수 있는 특별한 가전기기가 있다. 바로 김치 냉장고이다. 시간이 지날수록 나는 왜 한국인들이 김치를 그렇게 사랑하는지 이해하게 되었다. 김치는 다양한 방식으로 먹을 수 있다. 예를 들어, 내가 제일 좋아하는 방식은 삼겹살을 먹을 때 뜨거운 그릴에 구워 먹는 것이다. 김치에 돼지고기에서 나온 기름이 적셔지고, 따뜻한 맛이 고추장(맛)이 더해진다. 내가 또한 정말 좋아하는 김치 먹는 방법은 김치찌개다. 내가 미국에 돌아가게 된다면, 김치를 사기 위해 국제 시장을 가야만 할 것이다. 왜냐하면 나는 이제 김치 없이 못 살기 때문이다.

The thing tat I like the most about Hanbok, is that each one has a different color in a very eye-catching. For women, I think that 한복 vring out their natural beauty, And for men I think it makes them look more distinguished. Although I had seen a lot of foreigners wearing Hanbok when I visited Gyeongbokgung and Hanokmael I myself had never worn one because I felt a little bit too self-conscious to wear it in my hometown of Seoul. But when I travelled to Jenju with my wife. I didn't feel as embarrassed. So I decided to pick out some Hanbok that I thought fit my personality well. It was mostly brown, and it was the style that I imagined a Seonbi to wear. One thing that surprised me was that even though the Hanbok looked heavy. When I wore it, it was surprisingly light and breezy.

 

 

내가 한복을 가장 좋아하는 점은, 형형색색의 색깔의 무늬를 가지고 있어 매우 눈길을 끈다는 점이다. 내 생각에 한복은 여자는 여성스러움을 더욱 강조하게 해주고, 남자는 더욱 위엄 있어 보이게 해주는 것 같다. 경복궁과 한옥마을을 방문했을 때 한국을 입은 외국인을 많이 보았지만 한복을 입기에는 너무 남들의 시선이 의식되어 내 고향과 같은 서울에서는 한복을 입어본 적이 없었다. 하지만 아내와 함께 전주에 여행을 갔을 때는, 그렇게 쑥스럽지 않아서 내 개성에 잘 맞는 한복을 고르기로 결심했다. 전체적으로 갈색 톤에 선비가 입을 법한 스타일이었다. 나를 놀리게 한 것 중 하는 한복은 봤을 때는 무거워 보이는데 막상 입으면 경이로울 정도로 가볍고 바람이 잘 통한다는 것이다.

 

③ 정단비 학생

I don't watch movies too often But a couple of years ago when 기생충 was released, I was intrigued to watch it after it won numerous global awards. I was so curious, because I wondered what about a Korean language movie made the world so interested. It was a very unique movie, because for half of the way through, I thought it was a bit light-hearted and humorous, However, suddenly the mood of the movie changed and it became disturbing. Besides the ending of the movie. One of the scenes that really stuck out was when the family made 짜파게티 With 너구리 and 한우. After watching the movie, I tried 짜파게티 with 한우 and found it to be delicious. I'm really looking forward to watching the next movie that 봉준호 makes. I think he makes Korea very proud with his memorable movies.

 

 

나는 영화를 자주 보는 편은 아니지만 몇 년 전 기생충이 개봉했을 때, 해외에서 수많은 상을 받은 후 영화를 보고 싶은 호기심이 생겼다. 나는 너무 궁금했다. 한국어로 된 영화가 어떻게 세계의 흥미를 갖게 만들었는지 궁금했기 때문이다. 아주 독특한 영화였는데, 반쯤 지나다 보면 약간 마음이 가볍고 유머러스한 영화라고 생각했는데 갑자기 분위기가 바뀌면서 불안해졌다. 그뿐 아니라, 정말 눈에 띄는 장면 중 하나는 가족들이 너구리와 한우로 짜파게티를 만들 대였다. 기생충을 본 후. 한우를 넣어 짜파게티를 만들어보았다. 정말 맛있다는 것을 발견했다. 나는 봉준호 감독이 만들 다음 영화가 정말 기대된다. 나는 그가 기억에 남는 영화로 한국을 자랑스럽게 한다고 생각한다.

BTS is the pride of Korea. I don't think there is anyone in the world who hasn't heard of BTS. Since I've been living in Korea. I get messages and autube videas sent to me from family and friends in the US whenever they see BTS on TV shows in America. Even though I am a foreigner in Korea. I feel some pride that my family and friends back home are getting to see some of Korea's culture. I think BTS's foreign interviews are always so funny. Because Rap Monster has a big burden to have to answer questions form reporters And also try to translate everything the rest of the group is saying. I think the group represents Korea very well, even thought it must be tough doing so many interviews in a foreign language. The whole group complements each other well, but if I had to pick a favorite member. I would have to go with Suga. Because of his awesome name and his humble attitude.

 

 

BTS는 한국의 자랑거리이다. 다시 말해 BTS를 안 들어본 사람은 세계 어디에도 없을 것이라고 생각한다. 한국에 살아오는 동안, 미국에 있는 TV쇼에 BTS가 나올 때마다 미국에 있는 친구와 가족들이 나에게 유튜브 비디오들과 메시지를 보낸다. 비록 한국에서 나는 외국인이지만

고향에 있는 가족과 친구들이 BTS를 통해 한국의 문화를 볼 수 있다는 것에 자부심을 느낀다. 방탄소년단의 외신 인터뷰는 항상 너무 재밌다고 생각한다. RM은 취재진의 질문에 답해야 하는 부담이 크고 그가 나머지 멤버들의 말을 모두 번역해야 하기 때문이다. 외국어로 이렇게 많은 인터뷰를 하는 것이 힘들겠지만 나는 BTS가 한국을 잘 대표한다고 생각한다. 그룹 멤버들이 서로를 잘 보완하는 그룹이지만, 굳이 좋아하는 멤버를 뽑자면 슈가이다. 슈가의 멋진 이름과 겸손한 태도 때문이다.
